SGI (Società Gasdotti Italia) offers the service of transportation of natural gas through a pipeline network of high pressure for a length of about 1,800 km.

SGI was born December 27, 2004 from the merger of the Company Edison T & S SpA and its subsidiary SGM S.p.A. .

As of 5th July 2021, the majority share of SGI' sole shareholder - the Luxembourg corporation Sole Holdings Sàrl - was acquired by the Canadian pension fund Ontario Teachers Pension Plan (OTPP). Swiss Life GIO II EUR Holding is still a shareholder for the remaining share.
